Why would you need an emergency dentist?

Dental emergencies come in all shapes and sizes, and some need urgent attention before they get worse.

Emergency dental situation include:

Toothache

Toothache can be mild, but when it’s severe it can be hard to concentrate on anything else. Try cleaning the affected area with warm water, and taking some over the counter pain relief, if the symptoms persist seek urgent dental treatment.

You’ve knocked a tooth out

If you’ve knocked a tooth out, you only have a small window to potentially save it.

  • If the knocked-out tooth is clean, place is back into the socket, handling the tooth only by the crown and go straight to the dentist.
  • If the tooth is dirty, place the tooth in milk, saline or even your own saliva to clean it before replacing in the socket, holding by the crown again, and go straight to the dentist. DO NOT USE TAP OR BOTTLE WATER.
  • If it is too tender or painful to place the tooth in the socket, place the tooth in milk, saline, or side of your cheek or under your lip being careful not to choke or swallow it or in a container and get to the dentist as quickly as possible.

Contact Green Dental Oxley in Brisbane for an appointment immediately, the sooner we tend to your tooth, the more chance we have of saving it.
